It is "widely believed" that many Halloween traditions originated from the ancient Celtic harvest festival Samhain. Samhain and other such festivals had pagan roots. Free Ticket Here Maleficent, Evil Queen, and Gaston Host Kids and Family Festival at Shipgarten on Sunday, October 29th from noon to 6PM! Bring the whole family for an unforgettable experience meeting friendly, fun characters from your favorite movies with face painting and arts & crafts kids can enjoy. We also have live music, moonbounces, and a full playground so everyone can have a blast! Dogs are welcome at Shipgarten too, whether on-leash or in our off-leash dog park!
