✪ Featured Breweries ✪
Ardent Craft Ales Dark Rye
Stout – Imperial / 9.8% ABV / 45 IBU / 294 CAL / Richmond, VA /
Dark Rye is an American imperial stout brewed with rye and chocolate malts. Notes of dark chocolate and a roasty malt base balance an earthy, spicy character from the rye addition in this big, full-bodied stout.
Basic City Beer Lost Jewel of Orion
IPA – New England / 6% ABV / 180 CAL / Waynesboro, VA /
Approachable Hazy IPA brewed with Citra, Nelson, and Rakau
Benchtop Proven Theory
IPA – American / 7% ABV / 210 CAL / Norfolk, VA /
This american IPA is designed to create a harmonious blend of hop flavors, aromas, and a refreshing bitterness. You will find a blend of tropical fruit, berries, and a touch of pine for balance. The malt bill has just enough complexity to complement the hops. The finish is dry despite the silky mouthfeel.
Brehon Brewhouse Killanny Red
Red Ale – Irish / 4.5% ABV / 35 IBU / 135 CAL / Inniskeen, County Monaghan /
A ‘grand’ Irish Ale with russet red hues and a slightly malty, nutty flavour.
Caboose Hobo Imperial Stout w/Vanilla Bean
Stout – Imperial / 8% ABV / 24 IBU / 240 CAL / Vienna, VA /
One of the first beers ever brewed at Caboose. Made with a blend of roasted, chocolate, black and Munich malts, then aged on real Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans. Toffee and caramel notes give way to the smooth, yet rich flavors of coffee and vanilla. Where did the name come from? The name is a nod to the hobos who used to freight hop from town to town.
Cigar City Brewing® Maduro Brown Ale
Brown Ale – English / 5.5% ABV / 25 IBU / 200 CAL / Tampa, FL /
Maduro is a Northern English-style brown ale with some American affectations. Maduro is higher in alcohol than the common English brown ale and features flaked oats in the malt bill which imparts a silky body and works to mesh the roasted, toasted and chocolate components together in Maduro’s complex malt profile. The end result is a remarkably full-flavored yet approachable and sessionable brown ale that pairs well with mild to medium cigars.
Denizens Big Red Norm
Red Ale – American Amber / 6.5% ABV / 12 IBU / 195 CAL / Silver Spring, MD /
Notes of bread and toffee are prominent throughout, backed by heavy late additions of a blend of American and New Zealand hops that add flavors of pine and blackberry.
Lost Rhino Shooter McMunn’s Irish Stout
Stout – Irish Dry / 4% ABV / 28 IBU / 120 CAL / Ashburn, VA /
Nepenthe Mallet
Lager – American Light / 4.3% ABV / 129 CAL / Baltimore, MD /
Your new favorite everyday crusher. Mallet is as simple as a beer can be, utilizing only American 2-row in the mash, hopped gently but meaningfully with American classic Cascade, and fermented on an American lager strain. Crackery malt gives way to a subtle citrus from the hops before a dry, effervescent finish clears your palate. The ideal beer for crustacean consumption. Grab a Mallet and get crushin’.
Old Ox Black Ox
Porter – Other / 6% ABV / 20 IBU / 180 CAL / Ashburn, VA /
A robust rye porter with hints of coffee and chocolate nicely balanced with a subtle hop influence. A substantial, malty ale, complex and flavorful with a medium body and a slightly roasty finish. The rich dark color is deceptively refreshing. The spice in the rye clears the palate. A sip will explain why we say this is a delightful combination of sweet and spicy!
Oskar Blues Brewery® Mama’s Little Yella Pils®
Pilsner – Czech / 4.7% ABV / 35 IBU / 150 CAL / Longmont, CO /
Mama’s Little Yella Pils – Our upcoming new canned good is a small-batch version of the beer that made Pilsen, Czechoslovakia famous. Mama’s is made with hearty amounts of pale malt, German specialty malts, and a blend of traditional (Saaz) and 21st century Bavarian hops. Our first canned lager, it’s also fermented at cool temperatures with a German yeast. This tasteful reality Czech is the perfect antidote for the watered-down versions of pilsner clogging Americaâ’s shelves. And Mama’s gentle hopping (about 35 IBUs) and low ABV (just 4.7%) mean we’re finally honoring consumer requests for a delicious but less-challenging beer. (Hey, we like a good low-dose session beer, too.) Look for our Gold Metal Winner on US shelves in March. Sadly, the Feds rejected our Take Two and Call Us in the Morning line on the can.
Right Proper Håxan
Porter – Other / 7% ABV / 210 CAL / Washington, DC /
Named after the silent era Scandinavian documentary on witchcraft, Håxan is brewed with an assortment of roasted malts and oats. Full bodied with round notes of coffee and dark chocolate.
Silver Branch Glass Castle
Pilsner – Czech / 5% ABV / 150 CAL / Silver Spring, MD /
A delicate balance of spicy Czech hops and golden malt make Glass Castle flavorful, yet eminently drinkable. We use soft water, imported floor-malted barley, Saaz hops and traditional brewing techniques to give you a classic Bohemian Pilsener that is smooth yet flavorful.
Tröegs Independent Double Blizzard
IPA – Imperial / 8.3% ABV / 72 IBU / 249 CAL / Hershey, PA /
This is Blizzard of Hops … turned up to 11. For Double Blizzard, we used a cooler temperature for the kettle hop additions, softening the character of the Centennial, Chinook and El Dorado. On the cold side, we dry-hopped with four pounds per barrel of Chinook and Galaxy. At 8.3% ABV, we’re into semi-hazy Double IPA territory, and we like it here. We taste: huge citrus and pineapple notes, soft pine
Tröegs Independent Troegenator Doublebock
Bock – Doppelbock / 8.2% ABV / 25 IBU / 246 CAL / Hershey, PA /
Monks had fasting figured out. No food? No problem. Just drink a Double Bock. Thick and chewy with intense notes of caramel, chocolate and dried stone fruit, ‘Nator (as we call him) serves as a tribute to this liquid bread style.
Väsen Immolator
Bock – Doppelbock / 7.8% ABV / 234 CAL / Richmond, VA /
This smoked doppelbock will transport you to a firepit in the woods. Toffee and smoked beechwood come through on the nose. The smell comes through in the taste with a very smooth malty lager finish.
Väsen Radapils
Pilsner – Other / 5.3% ABV / 29 IBU / 159 CAL / Richmond, VA /
Our crisp, malty Radapils is named after Radagast, the old Slavic god of hospitality, fire, and the evening sky, as well as a wizard of Middle-earth. Czech Saaz and German Hersbrucker hops contribute light herbal and floral aromas to provide balance to classic lager flavors in this extraordinarily smooth brew. Best enjoyed with friends under starlight.
